Join us for this dynamic, free virtual learning series designed to empower professionals in physical and behavioral health and community-based organizations. Enhance your skills and earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and Continuing Medical Education credits (CMEs) in support of providing members with high-quality, compassionate, informed care.
Audience: Providers and care teams, behavioral health professionals, community-based organizations staff, health-equity advocates, and anyone else committed to improving care for the communities we serve.

Understanding alcohol use disorder and treatment options

| Description: | Join us for a session on alcohol use disorder. Find out what it is, how it develops and how it can affect health, relationships and daily life. Learn to recognize the signs of unhealthy alcohol use and when someone may need support. We’ll discuss medications that can help people reduce or stop drinking. Participants will gain a clear, practical understanding of treatment options and how to support people in a respectful, informed and compassionate way. Audience: primary care, behavioral health and community partners. CEUs/CMEs provided. |
| Speaker bios: | Aleisha Orr, MSN, FNP-C, CARN-AP, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and addiction medicine specialist with more than a decade of experience in integrated and telehealth-based care. A graduate of Georgetown University, she specializes in substance use disorder treatment, metabolic health and innovative virtual care models that expand access to evidence-based treatment. Aleisha has held clinical and leadership roles across urgent care, value-based primary care and multi-state recovery programs. Kayla Wright, CADC III, PMP, serves as the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Program Specialist for Metro Behavioral Health at CareOregon. After moving to Oregon in 2021, she shifted her focus to advancing system-level support for people with substance use disorders. Previously, Kayla practiced as a Licensed Alcohol, Drug, and Mental Health counselor in Oklahoma, working throughout the SUD continuum of care |
