Anita Cooper
Anita says that even if she did drive, she’d still walk – because the Jackson County scenery inspires her.
Severe asthma has made it tough for her the past few years. Walking and working are a physical challenge for Anita. Then there’s the problem of finding stable housing.
But after working with Linda Larson, a community care outreach worker from Jackson Care Connect, Anita’s asthma is now under control, she has steady housing and a good chance of meeting the rest of her goals.
“Well-being to me is being active in my spiritual community, as well as being able to walk all the places I love to walk,” she says. “I’m working on my physical health. One step at a time.”
