Provider updates

CareOregon’s CareBaby gift program is transitioning. As of September 15, sending Newborn Starter Kits and large gift offers to members in their third trimester is no longer be available. Outstanding gift offer responses that were received before September 15 will be fulfilled.

Although the gift program is coming to an end, we will still offer prenatal and perinatal resources to pregnant members through our Social Needs Assistance program.

Beginning October 1, newborn support items will be available in the following ways:

• Providers can request a single item (diapers and wipes, convertible car seat, infant car seat, or portable play yard/bassinet) on behalf of a member in their third trimester of pregnancy through 60 days postpartum. This request will be expedited and typically processed within 1-2 weeks. Please note this list is subject to change.
• Members and/or providers can use the routine Social Needs Assistance process for additional requests.
