Ready for school, ready for life: Get wellness checkups for your kids

Jul 19, 2021, 07:00 AM

So much has happened this past year, and many of us couldn’t take our kids in for their recommended checkups. But things are getting better, and school is starting soon. And that means now is the perfect time to make sure your kids are healthy and ready to get back out in the world. So, whether you’ve got a toddler or a kid heading off to college, make an appointment with their providers today.

Providers are ready to see your kids!

And they offer safe options for appointments, including in-person, on the phone or video visits. These visits are free for Jackson Care Connect members. Here are some of the ways you can help your kids stay healthy for school, fall sports and more:

  • Schedule an annual well-child visit to measure growth and get a complete physical exam. This visit is for kids of all ages, including teenagers.
  • Get the vaccinations they need – staying on schedule with these is more important than ever.
  • Ask about the COVID-19 vaccination for kids ages 12 and older.
  • Get developmental screening to make sure your kids are on track.
  • Help keep your kids mentally healthy with a mental health screening.
  • Contact their dentist for an exam and cleaning. Healthy teeth are very important for kids and their growing bodies.

By getting your kids in for the yearly visits they need, you can help make sure they have healthy bodies and healthy minds.
