KDRV Newswatch 12 reporting on JCC's Starting Strong Program

New Program Supports Better Baby Health

by Connor Wist

MEDFORD, Ore. — A new program is helping to fund ways for moms and expecting moms to keep their babies healthy. The program is called Starting Strong. It was launched by Jackson Care Connect (JCC) and just moved into its new location at 702 West Main Street last week.

Inside the center, there are already supplies waiting to help out new moms or moms with babies on the way.

The program provides vouchers through community partner organizations for women who attend prenatal care and dental appointments, bring their babies to wellness checkups and go to parenting and nutrition classes.
